Why is it so hard for the sexes to communicate? You extend yourself to keep someone in the loop and your looked upon as wanting to get to know that person or sucking up. How do you approach a person without it being mistaken for an evening out, but more as a way of open dialogue between two (2) people that may incorporate others to participate (like a book club). We can start up a conversation with someone when we are upset about a situation - we talk to a total stranger about personal issues that we cannot present to our love ones, yet we are either misunderstood or viewed as promiscuous when we ask what's wrong or can I help.
Can We Talk! How was your day? What made it so great? Is there something you would like to share with me or anyone who would take the time to listen? I would like to strike up a conversation with you to understand what someone else missed, in that last conversation, that put you over the edge. Talk to me... I'm Listening!
There's that nurturing stuff we keep talking about as females and speaking within that personal tone - to share our experiences and verse our communication skill because sometimes the receiver just doesn't get it. Listen closely - I Am Speaking the Queens English.. Gees!
Can we slow down because I cannot understand what we are racing to or from, but we get there quickly and than stay busy until it's time to sleep and no one seems to know what the others day was about or if there are any changes.
Take the time to Listen, Take the time to Hear what others are saying and what's going on around you. Be Positive, so that positive things can take place. Slow down because Life isn't going fast, we are.
